Lately, I've been making a series of work focusing on motherhood that is presented through the lens of our work as mothers. We care for our children, we bath them, feed them, make healthy decisions for them, teach them the boundaries of the world, weather their storms with love. We are the touchstone for them in their early lives. I wanted to dig into that visually and have been *loving* the work coming from this idea.
I've met the most amazing open-hearted mamas to work with in this series, full of tender affection for their babes and an open approach to the experience of making this artwork. It's been such a joy to see mama's connecting to their littles in such natural ways. I am also loving the creative push with each new bathroom, tub, set of wild hearted babies and mama's vibes.
It's also so sweet and tender to see the after bath snuggles and kisses. The genuine interactions are pulling on my heart and pushing me to make this work even more.
