The other day ( before all the wind, snow and blizzards) my son and I spent a glorious morning on the Farm with little Ruby and her mama, Ally. Our kids just love hanging out and we mamams love seeing their little friendship grow.
Since I can't ever use images with my son's face on them in this blog, my portfolio or generally anywhere on the internet, Ruby is a good natured stand in for my clickin mom urges.
I kind of can't overstate how beautiful and idyllic this morning was. It was warm with a breeze to keep it from being too hot, sunny and blue skied, the animals were all out and filling the air with the comforting sounds and smells of farm animals. Our little toddlers got to run free and wild, exploring, chasing and laughing for hours.
I hadn't thought before I had my son, about all the types of activities that would feel totally different as a mom. Watching him and Ruby discover the farm life and squeal with joy over each new item ( farm equipment or bales of hay) was just incredibly joyful to my heart.
If you happen to be getting stir crazy in the house or are just looking for something new to do, I HIGHLY recommend the Littleton Historic Museum!!
